MUAY THAI

Prime8 is the sister gym of Hanuman Muay Thai Edinburgh. A prestigious gym with an excellent stable of world class fighters and world class people! We strive to provide the best possible climate for our students to thrive and to help them accomplish their goals. Whether they want to gain confidence, lose weight, or become a world champion, we have the knowledge and the environment for you.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Gym workouts offer numerous benefits. They help increase strength, build muscle, improve cardiovascular health, promote weight loss, enhance flexibility, boost energy levels, and reduce stress. Regular exercise also helps improve mood, sleep quality, and overall mental well-being. Additionally, gym workouts provide a social aspect and the opportunity to learn and try new exercise techniques.

BOXING

In our boxing class, you can expect to get a total body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and agility exercises. You'll learn various boxing techniques such as punches, footwork, and defensive moves in a fun and friendly environment. Classes may also include partner drills, pads, bag work, and conditioning exercises to improve overall fitness and boxing skills.

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

BJJ emphasises leverage, technique, and submission holds to overcome opponents, regardless of their size or strength. It is known for its effectiveness in self-defense and as a sport, with tournaments and championships held at various levels. BJJ practitioners often train in gi (a traditional uniform) or no-gi (without the gi) styles, with belts indicating skill level from white to black.

    When you training with one of our personal trainers, you can expect customized workout plans tailored to your specific goals, abilities, and fitness level. You will receive expert guidance and supervision from qualified trainers who will challenge and motivate you. Personal training provides accountability, personalized feedback, and the opportunity to learn proper exercise techniques for optimal results.

  • MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

    Mindfulness refers to the practice of paying attention to the present moment intentionally and non-judgmentally. It involves being fully present and aware of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the environment around you. By cultivating mindfulness, you can develop a greater sense of clarity, peace, and well-being.

  • Prime8 Martial Arts offers a range of martial arts classes including Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Boxing.

    We also have a fully equipped strength and conditioning gym, that is open weekdays 6am-10pm, weekends 8am- 8pm. On top of that we also provide: mindfulness meditation and breath work classes, physiotherapy and personal training.

  • No, Prime8 Martial Arts welcomes members of all experience levels. Whether you are a complete beginner or have previous martial arts training, you are more than welcome to join us.

  • Prime8 Martial Arts offers classes for both children and adults. There are specific classes designed for different age groups to ensure appropriate training and development.

  • To sign up for classes at Prime8 Martial Arts, you can fill out an online registration form, provided on our website. Alternatively, you can contact us directly through phone or email for more information. If needed to speak in person our reception is open 5pm-7pm from Monday-Thursday.

  • We offer many different membership options, prices will depend on choice of your monthly plan and range between £25-£85 we also offer drop in sessions which are £10 per session.

  • Prime8 Martial Arts often offers a trial classes for new members. You can inquire about these on our website.

  • We do provide everything, you’ll only need to bring comfortable training clothes and water.

  • Prime8 Martial Arts typically separates classes based on different skill levels to ensure a suitable learning environment for each student. This allows beginners to progress at their own pace and advanced students to receive tailored instruction.

  • No just comfortable clothing or for Muay Thai and Ju-jitsu we train barefoot. For Boxing you can use indoor trainers or boxing boots.

  • Yes, we share the Morrisons car park right outside.
